    Garden woes
Either the kitten mafia have really upped their game or we have a really odd brand of thief/vandal round here - my blackcurrant bush is no longer in the garden. It was there this morning. The only thing to stop me thinking I must be going mad an imagining it is the fact that part of the root is still in the ground.

    hmmm

this does not make for a happy fairy, I may go and put all my pots and compost in the shed.

    Computer help
    Arrgghh.

I am trying to do my OU work but am being thwarted by the fact I can't unzip the files. I have no idea what's up with my info-zip I think it might just be borked. I don't have win-zip either (that would just be too easy).

Can anyone recommend a free open source thingy that would work? The internet suggested jZip but I've never heard of it. Any ideas appreciated.

    Car help!
We have failed to go to the ceildhi tonight as upon getting in the car we've found the battery was flat. Slightly more worried as I have no idea why it is flat.

Is there anyone around this weekend with car and know how who could help me jump the thing?

    Cinema tomorrow
Does anyone else fancy joining us to go see Water tomorrow? I'm not usually into forien laguage films but I saw the other 2 she's done (Fire and Earth?) at Film Unit a couple of years ago and they were really good.

We're going to the 8.40 showing tomorrow (Thursday) at the Showroom, meeting in the showroom bar at 8 if anyone else is up for it.

I just logged on to myspace and found a flyer for the TWOAF gig tomorrow posted in my comments bit. Thats very organised of them I thought. Breif confusion then followed when I realised that it hadn't come from TWOAF but from some random Shffield guy that added me.

When did TWOAF get myspace spam minions?

Anyway - who's off to the gig tomorrow?

My car has just died again. Not a happy bunny.

Is there anything exciting on this weekend? (I will now not be running round getting lots of things for the house)

So a year older and a litttle bit wiser?

Telewest plug sockets, it turns out, do not go beep. Smoke detecters who's batteries are dying go beep. Thanks [info]thegreatgonzo for working that one out for me. That was yesterday. I was a Fairy of very little brain.

Some designs are just brilliant. Amber and Alan got me one and as I was working home with it I thought it was cool but wasn't sure I was actually going to use it as it wasn't a shoulder bag. Unless you read the instructions that is. Oh you just pull that and clip that there then. That very clever. Unforunately I now think the bag is looking at me in a smug way. I might fill it with cream cakes so it's bum looks big. That'll teach it.

Is anyone else's Telewest connection continguingly going 'beep' for no apparent reason?

It's driving me insane; unpluging the phone had no effect.

Today has mainly been twoarted by Mike. He has stolen my keys. I think this is needlessly harsh seeing I have already feed him eyeliner once this week. Git.

    House
We have been looking at houses all day. I am knackered. We like the first house we saw. It is in Wisewood, a little bit further out than we were originally looking at.

Does anyone know if Wisewood is a nice area to live in? (it looked OK, fairly quietish to us).

    Germany
I'm off to Germany on Wednesday to go a games fair (Spiel). I have been looking at picture of it and printing out all the maps and things in the world. I haven't been out of the county in years and I am well overexcited. Poor [info]tarynish_lt, I imagine the overexcitedness of a fairy is going to get to him before Wed.

    [info]cassandra_7 - Happy Birthday!!
Also the trains to Manchester airport seem to be about once an hour according to national rail. I think we need to catch the 16:14 one that gets in as 17:41 (no changes)

    House Buying
Mass excitment of today! Me and goth are looking to get a house for next year (one of our very own rather than a student hovel). Mortgage is sorted. We have our first apointments to look round houses this afternoon.

I'm after a bit of advice for those of you who've done this before-
What should you be looking for when you go look round a house?
What sort of questions should you ask?

    Arrggghh I hate packing!!!

Tomorrow I am off to Derby to live in a field for a week and a half with userinfothe bear. Next weekend there will be LARPing. I'm already thinking of new characters - I have a horrible feeling we might all end up very very dead.

I seem to have far too much stuff packed and I'm no where near finished yet. And all of it seems essential. hmmmm.

Hopefully my swords will be ready. I ordered a pair for the Gathering. They are pink. Slightly worried now that I wasn't specific that I meant this year's Gathering!

    *bounce* *bounce* *bounce*

I really need a little LARPy icon.
